Exclusive journey to dolphins
On a luxurious yacht
06 - 13 May 2023

8 days in Egypt with dolphins in their natural habitat. The trip is organized by Morethan.travel X Dolphinstrip teams.
Life abroad on a luxury yacht with experienced instructors.
Swimming skills required.
What is it all about?
Completely new experience that will change you and your usual view of yourself and the world around you. Our luxury yacht will anchor in a picturesque place near the reef, where families of dolphins live and where we will spend seven days with them. We will learn to dive, swim with dolphins (a lot), listen to lectures by a freediving instructor or marine biologist.

It will be a great company, bright sun and unlimited sea overboard!

Each morning will begin with a landing with the dolphins, and each evening will end with a swim in the sea after sunset, when it is impossible to see the horizon and distinguish the stars in the endless sky from the myriad luminous accumulations of plankton under the water. You will be saturated with the smell of the sea and will feel like its inhabitants - free, joyful and feeling your limitless potential.

If you love snorkeling and ever dreamed of “chatting with dolphins” after breakfast, then you should come to us. Special training is not required, and underwater swimming skills are not required. It is enough just to swim confidently in the open water and your impressions will be no less than those of experienced freedivers. After all, dolphins are known to be more willing to communicate with positive, open and curious people, and not just with those who have the best swimming skills.

There is no better reason to finally try freediving.

FAQ
What is individual freediving eqipment?

You will need: mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, belt.

If you already have your freediving equipment, take it with you. If you want to buy something now, we advise you to pay attention to:

  • Wetsuit 3mm or thinner. In the Russian Federation, they are sewn by Molchanovs, Auqa Discovery, Buni, etc. There are also many famous international companies like Polo Sub, Elios, Best Dive, Hydra, Cetma Composites
  • Freediving mask with minimal mask space, such as: Aqua Sphere / Molchanovs (good, but lenses scratch), Technisub Micromask, Cressi Minima, Mares FreeX, Mares Samurai, Scubapro
  • Children's mask for 0 - 3 years: Aqualung Reef/Mix
  • Children's mask for 4 - 10 years: Cressi Moon Kid
  • Freediving snorkel - plastic or silicone snorkel (not frontal).
  • Freediving fins, the longer and softer the plastic, the better: Cressi Gara 3000 LD, Gara 3000, Seac Sub, Sopras. For experienced freedivers, pack your carbon/glass from Carbonio GFT, Cetma, Alchemy hellas, Molchanovs, Sargan, 2befree, Leaderfins, Flippers, etc., they will come in handy.
  • Rubber weightbelt for freediving with Marseilles buckle

Do I need to bring cash?
The program includes daily three meals a day on the yacht, as well as all accommodation and almost all movements on the ground (except for an individual transfer from the airport). Therefore, you may need cash in a minimum amount for:

  • your own-planned pre- or post-program activities
  • buying drinks/souvenirs/grosseries at marina
  • individual photo-shooting or scuba-diving activities onboard
  • payment for an individual transfer
  • tips for the ship's crew
In Egypt, you can easily pay in USD or EUR. An exchange dollars and euros for local currency is available at almost any outlet. True, there will not be many of them on our journey.
I am competitive freediver, what depth is available?
In the reef lagoon, in the place where the yacht is anchored, the depth is from -6 to -12 m. The maximum possible depth for installing a buoy is -30m. It is quite enough to perform good and useful exercises and productive training. This is if you get bored with dolphins, although we have not seen this yet.
What clothes to take?
It is quite warm in the south of Egypt, but a hoodie or sweatshirt with sleeves and leggings or pants will not hurt - you might like to sleep under the stars. The wind is almost always blowing on the reef, so a light surfer cap will also be useful. For the winter months (November - March) it is recommended to bring warm pants and a hoodie, as well as a windbreaker or windstopper.
